About the role
Service and maintain electronic security systems from leading manufacturers such as Lenel, Genetec, Axis, Milestone, and Avigilon.
Responsibilities
- Service and maintenance of integrated security systems including access control, CCTV, and alarms
- Troubleshooting and repair of hardware and software of integrated systems
- Work with manufacturers' technical support teams to resolve system issues
- Provide high levels of customer service
- Train customers on proper system usage and respond to technical inquiries
- Complete detailed and accurate paperwork and assist with as-built documentation
- Adhere to Bosch's Quality and Safety program
- Be prompt, enthusiastic, and take direction from the service team and operations
- Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation
- Build confidence with clients and stakeholders to enhance the organization's reputation
- Perform other tasks as required
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience as a Service Technician in the security, electronics, telecommunications, or IT industry
- Proven service experience with complex physical security systems such as Lenel, Genetec, AMAG, Milestone, etc.
- Post-secondary training in electronics or equivalent experience
- Experience with IP networks, low-voltage electronics, power and communications, access control, CCTV (IP and analog), intrusion systems, and client-server security applications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract
- Able to work independently
- Strong command of the English language with good written and verbal communication skills
- Awareness of productivity and profitability of work carried out
- Willingness and capability to learn and develop
- Able to pass varying levels of security clearance
- Available to complete out-of-town work on an ad hoc basis
- Personal hand tools required
Preferred Qualifications
- Vendor certification in low-voltage systems (e.g., Lenel, Genetec, Milestone, Avigilon, AMAG, Keyscan, Kantech, Senstar, Hanwha, Bosch, DSC, and others)
- Postsecondary training in electronics or equivalent
- Experience working in commercial environments such as healthcare, education, or hospitality
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
- Stand, climb, walk, sit, push, pull, squat, crawl, and stoop
- Use hands to finger, handle, feel objects, and type on a keyboard
- Reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear
- Use close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Use power tools
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Work at heights over 1.8m (6 feet)

Schedule
This position generally works Monday–Friday. Overtime and on-call work may be necessary.
