Technician I, Production Maintenance - Onsite, Ames, IA

About the role

A typical day will include:

• Perform maintenance, installation, machining, and improvement tasks.
• Perform or coordinate review and calibration of equipment.
• Troubleshoot problems and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Provide or request purchased tools and equipment as authorized.
• Complete preventive maintenance activities.
• Participate in Kaizen Events.
• Work off-shift or Saturday as needed to support production or maximize machinery uptime.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree in a related field preferred.
• 1 or more years of related experience (e.g., mechanical installation, machining) in a manufacturing, engineering, or facility environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve in a structured, logical manner.
• Ability to read and comprehend drawings and other technical information.
• Combination of office skills and hands-on activities; must be able to lift and move equipment and materials up to 50 lbs. daily.

Pay

The compensation range for this role is $27.00 - $27.00 USD per hour. This role is also eligible for bonus pay.
