About the role
The Manufacturing Technician I will perform a variety of processing duties according to batch records and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in the manufacturing department, including weighing, granulation, compression, blending, and coating.
Responsibilities
- Report process or equipment problems to supervisor and perform minor or basic troubleshooting.
- Ensure batch records, equipment log books, and other relevant records are current.
- Set up and operate equipment for processing operations.
- Clean and maintain processing rooms and equipment.
- Monitor process and equipment, making necessary adjustments to maintain batch record specifications.
- Monitor product quality.
- Follow established department GMPs, SOPs, and batch records.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or lead.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working in a team-based environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to understand, speak, read, and write in English.
- Basic computer skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with FDA or other regulatory standards.
- Experience using high-speed mixers, dryers, Fitz mills, Sweco, scales, and tablet presses.
- Knowledge of Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
