About the Role
This 12+ month contract role is responsible for meeting daily customer demand and production schedules. The Manufacturing Technician I ensures safety and quality standards are maintained while assembling products using specialized equipment, fixtures, work instructions, and test equipment to produce, assemble, and test medical devices.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Manufacturing Lead and/or Specialist to meet customer demand and production schedules.
- Participate in basic problem-solving activities to ensure stable operation of the work cell.
- Report problems or concerns related to quality, processes, equipment, materials, and labor to the Manufacturing Lead or Production Supervisor.
- Observe, maintain, coordinate, and complete standard work.
- Participate in DBS concepts and continuous improvement activities within the designated work area.
- Sustain 5S activities by maintaining a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
- Act as an active member of the production team and assist in product processing.
- Follow documented policies and procedures as designated by the company's Quality System.
- Complete required documentation relating to regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or some work experience.
- Ability to read and follow documents such as safety rules, operating procedures, and work instructions.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others.
Preferred Qualifications
- GMP knowledge.
- Medical device manufacturing experience.
- Microscope experience.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in areas containing adhesives, solvents, and chemical processes.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, and twisting.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to observe and inspect small parts over extended periods.
- Specific vision requirements include close vision and color vision.
- Willingness and ability to conform to controlled environments regarding apparel and personal hygiene.
Pay
$25.35/hour on W2.
Schedule
3rd shift (Monday–Friday).
Location
New Brighton, MN.
