Technician, General Facilities Maintenance - Food Equipment
Position Summary
Walmart is hiring General Maintenance Technicians to diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance duties for all commercial equipment in Walmart stores.
What you'll do...
- Perform minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures (for example, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment)
- Complete routine maintenance to ensure safety and proper functionality
- Manage work orders and routine maintenance schedules by completing and providing required written and electronic information (for example, expense vouchers, weekly summaries, work orders, maintenance logs, etc.)
- Equipment Serviced: Food Equipment (Combi ovens, deli slicers, auto meat cutters, fryers, hot cases, ice makers, pizza ovens, rotisserie ovens, thermoglazers, donut cases, four bowl warmers, bakery ovens, bread slicers, tortilla makers) and Grease and Oil Systems (oil/water separators, used cooking oil tanks).
Minimum Qualifications
- 3 years' experience in maintenance
- Valid state-issued driver’s license for at least 3 years with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
- Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
Preferred Qualifications
- Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade
- 5 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade
- Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical trade program
- Licenses in related trade in city and/or state where job is located
- Using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.
The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 - $35.00. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to a specific plan or program terms.
