About the role
As a General Maintenance Technician at Walmart, you will diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on all commercial equipment to support our stores. You will develop preventative maintenance schedules, complete assigned PMs, and train Store Associates on equipment care and cleaning.
Responsibilities
- Perform minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment).
- Complete routine maintenance to ensure safety and proper functionality.
- Manage work orders and maintenance schedules by completing and providing required written and electronic documentation (e.g., expense vouchers, weekly summaries, work orders, maintenance logs).
Equipment Serviced
- Food Equipment: Combi ovens, deli slicers, auto meat cutters, fryers, hot cases, ice makers, pizza ovens, rotisserie ovens, thermoglazers, donut cases, four bowl warmers, bakery ovens, bread slicers, tortilla makers.
- Grease and Oil Systems: Oil/water separators, used cooking oil tanks.
Qualifications
- 3 years' experience in maintenance (including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, or food equipment).
- Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or a related trade or 5 years' experience in one of these trades.
- Valid state-issued driver’s license for at least 3 years with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.
- Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 – $35.00. The actual rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage for the job location. Additional premiums may apply (ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour) based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
