Technician, General Facilities Maintenance
About the role
As a General Maintenance Technician at Walmart, you will diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on all commercial equipment to support our stores. You will develop preventative maintenance schedules, complete assigned PMs, and train Store Associates on equipment care and cleaning.
Responsibilities
- Perform minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment).
- Complete routine maintenance to ensure safety and proper functionality.
- Manage work orders and routine maintenance schedules by completing and providing required written and electronic information (e.g., expense vouchers, weekly summaries, work orders, maintenance logs).
Qualifications
- 3 years' experience in maintenance (including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment, or related trade).
- Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade or 5 years' experience in one of these trades.
- Valid state-issued driver’s license for at least 3 years with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.
- Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

- Previous experience in maintenance (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment, etc.).

- Commitment to Servant Leadership and teamwork to achieve goals.
- Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical trade program.
- License in a related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located.
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

The amount of PTO you receive depends on your job classification and length of employment and will meet or exceed paid sick leave laws where applicable.
Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 - $35.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances (e.g., schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed). Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
