Position Summary
Performs routine and major repairs on facilities equipment or fixtures, manages work orders and contractors, and ensures compliance with regulatory standards.
What you'll do...
- Performs preventive maintenance to ensure safety, functionality, and aesthetics of facilities, equipment, or fixtures.
- Inspects, cleans, and repairs facilities equipment or fixtures, observes and documents signs of wear and tear, and gathers capital expense information.
- Recommends repair needs to eliminate ongoing and future repairs, determines replacement needs, and documents preventive maintenance activities.
- Manages work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractors by completing required written and electronic information, such as expense vouchers, weekly summaries, work orders, maintenance logs, and warranty claims.
- Ensures quality work is completed that complies with federal, state, and local regulations, Walmart quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Identifies and reports deficiencies, unloads and stores equipment, and transports equipment between facilities.
- Demonstrates expertise and provides expert advice and guidance to support business solutions, build relationships, and align efforts to meet customer and business needs.
- Models compliance with company policies and procedures, and supports the Walmart mission, values, and ethical standards.

Minimum Qualifications
- Vocational or Technical certification and 5 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade, or 7 years' experience in one of these trades.
- Valid Driver's License and eligibility for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical trade program.
- Licenses in related trade in city and/or state where job is located.
- Intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
