Technician, General Facilities Maintenance

Position Summary

The (USA) Technician, General Facilities Maintenance, is responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance and repairs to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities and equipment.

What you'll do

• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities, equipment, and fixtures.
• Inspect, clean, and repair facilities equipment by following established schedules and guidelines.
• Diagnose issues using blueprints, repair manuals, and appropriate tools to conduct major and minor repairs across multiple crafts.
• Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractor activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Document maintenance activities, track parts and equipment orders, and submit warranty claims as required.
• Provide expert advice to support continuous improvement and alignment with business needs.

The Facility Services Food Equipment team specializes in maintaining and repairing commercial foodservice equipment to ensure consistent and safe operation. Team members utilize expertise in electrical diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and equipment repair to promptly address service needs. They collaborate to troubleshoot issues, perform repairs, and manage maintenance schedules while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. Their efforts contribute to a productive environment focused on customer satisfaction and efficient facility performance.

What you'll bring

• Proven experience in performing preventive maintenance and facility repair to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
• Skilled in electrical diagnostics, repairs, and equipment troubleshooting using blueprints and repair manuals.
• Able to conduct major and minor repairs across multiple crafts including plumbing, carpentry, and material handling equipment.
• Proficient in managing work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractor coordination with attention to compliance and quality standards.
• Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations to maintain safe and compliant work environments.
• Strong documentation skills for maintenance activities, expense tracking, and warranty claims.
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and adaptability to evolving business needs and priorities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade or 5 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical trade program.
• License in related trade in city and/or state where job is located.
• Using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
