Position Summary
Performs routine preventive maintenance on food equipment, facilities, and fixtures by following established preventive maintenance schedules and guidelines. Inspects, cleans, and repairs equipment and fixtures. Observes and documents signs of wear and tear. Determines replacement needs to reduce ongoing and future repairs. Performs major and minor repairs on food equipment, facilities, and fixtures using multiple craft skills. Responds to emergency calls. Documents repair activities. Manages work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractors by completing required written and electronic information. Tracks orders. Records purchases and usage. Submits costs. Operates, inspects, and maneuvers heavy machinery and powered equipment in accordance with training, certification requirements, and safety procedures. Performs pre-operation safety checks and post-operation inspections to ensure equipment is safe, functional, and compliant with applicable standards. Identifies unsafe conditions, equipment malfunctions, or potential hazards and takes appropriate corrective action or escalates as required. Maintains company vehicles in accordance with company policies and procedures. Coordinates and transports vehicles for required maintenance, ensuring beforehand that alternate driving support is arranged. Safely operates motor vehicles and ensures that the vehicle has all required documents. Checks fuel and water levels, brake condition, signals, and lights. Submits maintenance invoices for payment. Verifies the coverage and validity of vehicle insurance. Wears company uniform and badge in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications
- Vocational or technical certification and 2 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
- 4 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
- Licence in a related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located.
- Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
- Ability to read and speak the English language as required by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
- Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
- Mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
- No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
- No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
- Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
- Using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
