Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical assembly, functional tests, test setups, and final assembly operations according to Assembly and Test Instructions, drawings, and planning.
- Electrical assembly tasks including wire stripping, crimping, and connector installation.
- Work safely with hazardous chemicals such as Acetone, isopropyl alcohol, paints, sealants, and adhesives.
- Adequately adhere to cleanliness standards, clean as you go, and prevent Foreign Object Debris.
- Check and document drawing dimensions using measuring devices.
- Part mark products using provided equipment/tools.
- Participate in failure analysis through collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering, and Quality Control.
- Read and interpret drawings and specifications using a computer.
- Communicate professionally with Leadership and peers to resolve job-related issues or concerns.
- Regularly perform tasks that include walking, standing, sitting, talking, and hearing.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision and depth perception.
- Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds regularly.
- Other tasks/duties/responsibilities as assigned.
- Maintain a safety-oriented work environment.
- Participate in team environment and contribute to team process improvement discussions.
- Ability to work weekends and modified shifts with short notice.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
- 3+ years of experience required in a mechanical environment; aerospace experience preferred.
- General mechanical knowledge and background.
Skills & Competencies
- Attention to detail.
- Safe use of hand tools, and torque wrenches.
- Multimeter, Hypot, Electrical Bonding, and IR experience preferred.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Intermediate computer skills.
