Responsibilities
- Mouse breeding and maintenance
- Surgery assistance
- Operate industrial washers and autoclaves
- Inspect glassware and lab equipment for cleanliness and damage
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of glassware washing and sterilization areas
- Document usage of supplies and detergents
- Perform routine maintenance of washers, autoclaves, and related equipment
- Follow safety protocols
- Maintain sterilization records
- Afford assistance with training new staff or students
- Effectively write and communicate research materials
Requirements
- Two years of college or an associate degree
- One year of related experience, or equivalent in education, training and/or experience
- Preferrably knowledgeable or experienced in handling rodents
- Capable of working in teams to design and execute experiments, interpret data, and identify appropriate follow-up strategies
- Excellent project management skills
- Ability to multitask and work within timelines
Qualifications
The candidate must two years of college or an associate degree. One year of related experience, or equivalent in education, training and/or experience. Candidate should preferable be knowledgeable or experienced in handling rodents.
