Technician 1

About the role

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Technician to perform preventive maintenance and make repairs on equipment in the safest, most effective way possible to avoid downtime. Our fleet varies by location but primarily includes Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools and equipment. Our specialty lines locations may have a fleet of large-scale power-generators, pumps, HVAC systems and oil/gas related equipment.

This role offers the opportunity to build skills by working on a variety of makes, models and equipment, develop new skills for a career track in service or operation management, and work with a team in a safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment
• Make repairs on equipment in the safest, most effective way possible to avoid downtime

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired
• 1 to 3 years of Technician experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• May need to provide tools of trade
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
• Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
• Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual (Spanish or Other) may be required based on location needs

Physical Requirements

The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.

Pay

Base Pay Range: $20.89 - $28.72. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.

You will become eligible for benefits on the first of the month following 30 days from your start date.
