Technical Writer III

About the role

Providing support to the Program Manager and contracting team by performing as the Senior Technical Writer. This role involves producing, editing, and organizing data for use in a wide variety of complex technical publications, requiring an understanding of the subject matter and associated concepts.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and updating technical references and documents as changes are made to subject matter
• Ensuring document organization and layout adhere to customer or company requirements
• Coordinating publications and reports with Program Manager, subject matter experts, and customer sources as required
• Interviewing subject matter experts and writing technical, proposal, and/or marketing documentation
• Managing schedules and tracking document delivery milestones
• May oversee other technical writers

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree and seven (7) years of work-related experience, or a Master’s degree and one (1) year of work-related experience in a relevant technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Advanced PC skills including fluency in MS Office applications and graphics applications
• High level of confidentiality and discretion in communications, with strong professional and ethical standards
• Excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on writing skills for various technical documents, reports, and procedures
• U.S. citizenship (required for U.S. Government security clearance)

Desired Skills

• Previous experience producing technical reports, especially those encompassing cyber-related subjects
• Bachelor’s degree in grammar, writing, technical engineering, or computer discipline
