Technical Value Management (TVM) Engineer – ICE Powertrain Cost Reduction
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and implement cost-saving opportunities across ICE powertrain systems.
- Support annual Technical Value Management (TVM) cost reduction objectives.
- Evaluate design, material, manufacturing, and supplier cost reduction opportunities.
- Develop business cases and technical justifications for proposed engineering changes.
- Capture and track savings realization.
- Support financial validation activities.
- Coordinate activities across multiple vehicle and powertrain programs.
- Lead cross-functional meetings and drive action item completion.
- Maintain implementation schedules, work plans, and savings forecasts.
- Analyze engineering and cost data to support decision-making.
- Prepare leadership reports, presentations, and implementation summaries.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of automotive engineering experience.
- Experience supporting cost reduction, value engineering, or product optimization initiatives.
- Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Strong project coordination and execution skills.
- Experience analyzing engineering and cost data.
- Experience developing and implementing engineering changes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, technical problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.

- One or More of the Following Internal Combustion Engines (ICE): Exhaust Systems, Aftertreatment Systems, Turbochargers, Air Induction Systems, Thermal Management Systems, Fuel Systems, Ignition Systems, Evaporative Emissions Systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Automotive OEM experience.
- Experience with Technical Value Management (TVM) or Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE).
- Experience with Power BI.
- Experience with Teamcenter or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
- Knowledge of automotive product development processes.
- Experience using AI-enabled analytical tools.
