About the role
The EVM Cost Engineer will lead the development and management of the program master schedule for a large complex program. They will assist the Program Manager with scope, schedule, cost, and risk management, driving operational and financial excellence.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with program schedulers to enable effective schedule performance management across all contractual areas
- Contribute to IPMDAR and CSDR submissions
- Develop and maintain the overall Performance Management Baseline
- Import resource-loaded IMS to baseline changes, performance measurement, and forecast data
- Work with the program financial analyst to validate Estimates to Complete, conduct analysis, and reporting
- Manage the risk register and program management reserves
- Facilitate program performance with local and corporate functional managers and staff
- Develop and maintain customer and company briefings including program management reviews and monthly management reviews
- Collaborate with program proposal and pricing initiatives including change proposals, pricing strategies, and Basis of Estimate (BOE) development
- Ensure program management excellence through customer and supplier relationships, technical execution, schedule management, risk management, quality management, and financial performance
- Implement return to green plans as necessary
- Promote technology insertion and innovation, enhancing people and processes for continuous improvement
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred
- Experience: 4+ years of project controls/project management experience
- Business management acumen with the ability to proactively manage financial and performance metrics
- Familiarity and experience with earned value management and six sigma principles and practices
- Leadership qualities enabling employee engagement, professional development, innovation, collaboration, communication, accountability, and overall program performance
- Proficiency with PowerBI, Excel PowerQuery, and Macros
