Job Description
If you are a Technical Trainer looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! As a Technical Trainer, you will deliver technical training to customers; contractors, wholesalers, end users, OEM's and employees as it relates to Copeland Commercial and Residential Cold Chain Electronics components and systems used in the HVAC/R industry. The senior trainer must present a professional manner and develop good working relationships with subject matter experts and Product Managers within the organization. Coordination of relevant content from the experts is key to adding material to a course to ensure all learning objectives are met. The senior trainer must stay current with technology and the industry. Participation in industry events and HVACR online educational communities is an important part of the senior trainer's ability to stay current with industry trends and educational needs. The senior trainer provides coaching, guidance and feedback to junior training staff and serves as the lead customer contact point at training events.
Responsibilities
- Deliver all curricula using instructor-led, electronic/web-based, and/or multimedia training methods and formats
- Follow good pedagogy practices for teaching adults
- Coordinate the development of course material to cover learning objectives; adjust learning objectives accordingly
- Evaluate training material for improvements
- Continue self-study to understand all technologies that are part of the curricula
- Participate in engineering and product planning sessions
- Participate in industry related forums to ensure accuracy of technical information
- Train and mentor training specialists
Requirements
- Five (5) years of experience as an HVACR technician, wholesaler, educator or equivalent HVACR industry role
- Experience with Residential controls and components
- Ability to travel 60-70%
- Ability to present to groups and facilitate learning programs
- Skilled in providing customer service
- Skilled in analyzing audience to present material clearly, concisely, and effectively
- Proficient in technology - Microsoft Suite of Products; PC's, Mobile Devices
- Ability to work in a team-oriented and collaborative environment

Benefits
Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. In accordance with Colorado EPEWA, the salary/pay range for this role is $110,000-$130,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.

This role is fully remote. As a remote colleague, you may be required to travel to a Copeland site regularly to collaborate with your team or customers as needed.
