Technical Support Tech I

About the Role

Provides support to end users on a variety of technical issues. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. Responds to telephone calls, email, and personnel requests for technical support. Documents, tracks, and monitors problems to ensure timely resolution.

This is an entry-level, contract position based in Fairless Hills, PA, working under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Support end users on technical issues via phone, email, and in-person requests.
• Identify, research, and resolve technical problems.
• Document, track, and monitor issues to ensure timely resolution.
• Perform low-voltage cabling tasks in environments such as data centers, warehouses, or logistics facilities.
• Read and follow work instructions, diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Safely lift and move up to 35 lbs repeatedly, and maneuver server racks, carts, and equipment as part of a team.
• Work in varying temperatures while wearing required PPE.
• Use basic computer skills for documentation, ticketing, and inventory systems.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in a related area or 0-3 years of experience in a technical support role.
• Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within IT or technical support.
• Experience in low-voltage cabling, telecom, data centers, construction, warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders for extended periods.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet operational deadlines.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00 per hour.
