About the Role
Provides support to end users on a variety of technical issues. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. Responds to telephone calls, email, and personnel requests for technical support. Documents, tracks, and monitors problems to ensure timely resolution.
This position involves hardware and network diagnostics followed by physical repair and may include participation in an on-call rotation. Candidates will install equipment, create documentation, innovate solutions, and fix complex problems within the Data Center space.
This is a fully onsite, contract position based in Fairless Hills, PA. Some travel may be required.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to end users via telephone, email, and in-person requests
- Identify, research, and resolve technical hardware and network problems
- Document, track, and monitor issues to ensure timely resolution
- Perform hardware and network diagnostics, followed by physical repair
- Install equipment and create documentation for data center operations
- Innovate solutions and troubleshoot complex problems in the data center environment
- Participate in an on-call rotation as required
- Work independently and collaboratively within a team
Requirements
- Associate's degree in a related area or 0-3 years of experience in a technical support role
- Basic understanding of computer hardware and networking
- Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within IT support
- Ability to work under immediate supervision and follow pre-established guidelines
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to function well under pressure with multiple priorities
- Organizational skills and ability to react quickly to issues
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in cramped or elevated spaces
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Linux operating systems
- Advanced understanding of computer hardware, including troubleshooting and repair skills

Pay
The pay range for this position is $23.50 - $25.00 per hour. Individual compensation within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, and internal equity.
