Technical Support

Our client is seeking a skilled desktop support technician to provide on-site technical assistance in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site desktop support for all hardware in the manufacturing plant
• Setup, configure, install, and maintain end users' desktop computers and peripherals, both on production lines and in offices
• Deliver technical support for production and office personnel on computers, phones, and printers
• Implement and maintain network servers, including Active Directory accounts
• Perform break/fix support for network, server, and end-user devices
• Support industrial printers
• Manage and track hardware inventory and e-waste
• Provide Windows 10 support
• Support mobile RF devices and workstation PCs
• Troubleshoot network issues by examining routers or switches
• Re-image computers as needed
• Reset wireless access points by climbing ladders
• Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and make critical decisions in a timely manner
• Strong communication and writing skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize numerous critical tasks
• Capability to handle a demanding workload and fast-paced environment
• Physical ability to operate personal computer equipment
• Occasional stooping, crawling, and lifting up to 50 lbs to install or check network devices and cabling
• Ability to climb ladders, including Man ladders up to 20-25 feet (some with cages, some without) to access catwalks and mezzanines while carrying hardware
• Must complete ladder training for climbing to reset wireless access points

Pay

$23.00 - $25.00 per hour
