Technical Solution Analyst
About the role
The Technical Solutions Analyst role involves working directly with utilities and energy innovators to modernize the grid. This customer-facing role connects business needs to the product roadmap and engineering delivery. You will lead discovery, design solutions, support integrations, and guide customers through implementation to achieve quick value.
Responsibilities
- Understand each customer's workflows, KPIs, and constraints.
- Translate business needs into clear, testable requirements, distinguishing between regulatory requirements, must-haves, and nice-to-haves.
- Develop a detailed knowledge of our product to map requirements to existing features, upcoming roadmap items, and needed customizations.
- Define how our platform and customer systems exchange data, mapping fields, identifying transformations, and validating data.
- Guide the configuration of products and ensure customer IT environments are ready.
- Partner with Project Managers to plan and run User Acceptance Testing (UAT), track issues, and support defect triage.
- Create clear source-to-target data mappings, confirm data ownership and quality rules, and review historical data to reduce risk.
- Contribute to Statements of Work and act as the technical liaison during sales and early project phases.
- Support or deliver product demos and training.
Requirements
- Experience: 3–6+ years in a customer-facing solutions role such as Solutions/Business Analyst, Solutions Engineer, or Implementation Consultant.
- Technical Skills: Foundational understanding of the U.S. transmission interconnection ecosystem; strong skills in requirements gathering, process modeling, gap analysis, and acceptance criteria; experience with systems integration concepts including REST APIs, JSON/CSV, authentication, data mapping, and basic ETL; proficiency in SQL for data validation and test queries; experience with project execution tools like Jira/Confluence; familiarity with implementation methodologies such as Scrum, SAFe, or Waterfall.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a startup, scaling SaaS company, or a similarly dynamic environment; knowledge of GIS, data pipelines, or iPaaS tools; security and compliance awareness (PII, audit trails, RBAC); comfort with visualization tools like Figma, Lucid, or Draw.io; light scripting ability (Python) for data checks or transformations; experience with BI tools such as Tableau.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or IIBA CBAP.
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools.

Pay
Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Full-time remote position with occasional travel up to 10-20% for onsite discovery, testing, or launches.
