About the role

The Technical Sales Representative is responsible for maintaining and growing sales with existing customers along with prospecting for new customers. Our ideal candidate will have experience selling in the industrial/manufacturing/fabrication and welding space. Must have an understanding and knowledge of welding, wear mechanisms and maintenance / repair welding.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow sales in existing customers (customer retention).
  • Prospect for new customers / acquiring new accounts / Cold Calling - Sales Hunter
  • Provide, with the assistance of the technical support group, service and technical support to existing customers.
  • Cook up request for information or quotations.
  • Coordinate approval projects for new technologies and applications to current and prospecting customers.
  • Develop a territory plan.
  • Propose and implement marketing strategies in the territory.
  • Ensure continuous improvement and sharing of technical knowledge, competitive and product information and methods.
  • Maintain key information in our internal CRM system.

Requirements

2-5 years of SALES experience - Cold Calling

A mechanical aptitude

A basic knowledge of welding/welding distribution, wear mechanisms and maintenance & repair welding

Target minded people that are driven to succeed; thrive under pressure and enjoy setting and achieving goals

Energetic and self-motivated individual

High level of integrity and committed to serving clients

Strong interpersonal skills and a strong ability to listen

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Detail-oriented and versatile
