ROVEMA North America, headquartered in Norcross, Georgia, is the wholly-owned North American subsidiary of ROVEMA GmbH — a global leader in packaging machinery engineering founded in 1957. We design, sell, and support industry-leading vertical form/fill/seal (VFFS) baggers, cartoning systems, and end-of-line packaging solutions for consumer packaged goods producers across food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and industrial markets.
Responsibilities
- Develop technically optimized packaging solutions that meet customer requirements and support business growth throughout North America.
- Partner with Regional Sales Managers to identify customer requirements and develop customized packaging solutions.
- Lead technical customer discovery meetings, both virtually and on-site, to understand production processes, operational challenges, and application requirements.
- Conduct budgetary proposal reviews, formal quotation presentations, and technical solution discussions.
- Provide technical consultation throughout the sales process by explaining machine capabilities, system performance, and return on investment.
- Evaluate customer applications and recommend the most effective machine configurations and line concepts.
- Coordinate customer product sample testing and validate application performance.
- Develop technical concepts, equipment layouts, and system configurations for complete packaging solutions.
- Prepare technical quotations, equipment specifications, scope definitions, and supporting documentation.
- Work closely with engineering teams in Germany to define machine configurations, custom engineering requirements, and manufacturing specifications.
- Ensure proposed solutions comply with customer requirements, technical standards, and company capabilities.
- Act as the technical interface between customers, Regional Sales Managers, engineering, and project management.
- Support technical clarification throughout the quotation and order process.
- Assist with project kick-off activities and ensure a seamless transition from Sales to Project Execution.
- Support technical approvals, documentation reviews, and Statements of Work when required.
- Build and maintain relationships with key U.S.-based OEM partners.
- Coordinate technical integration of third-party equipment, including:
- Inspection Systems
- Dosing Systems
- Infeed Systems
- Mezzanines
- Palletizing Solutions
- Film & Packaging Material Systems
- Support the continuous improvement of engineering standards, quoting tools, and sales processes.
- Contribute to the development of standardized machine concepts and best practices.
- Share application knowledge and technical expertise across the Sales organization.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
- 3–7 years of experience in technical sales, application engineering, systems engineering, or project engineering within capital equipment or industrial automation.
- Experience in packaging machinery or automated production systems is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of integrated packaging lines, conveying systems, robotics, or end-of-line automation is highly desirable.
- Experience collaborating with international teams is an advantage.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with CAD viewers, ERP, CRM, and CPQ systems is beneficial.
- Professional English communication skills; additional language skills are a plus.
Work Environment
Based in Norcross, Georgia, with approximately 30–40% travel across North America for customer visits, technical presentations, application reviews, and trade shows. Regular collaboration with engineering and project management teams in Germany.
