Job Description Do you know pumps and enjoy dealing with people? You might already be working in pump sales, or you could be a Pump Fitter, Service Technician, Workshop Technician, Internal Salesperson or technical pump professional looking to take the next step in your career. We’re looking for someone with pump and water industry experience to join a customer-facing technical sales role. Sales experience isn’t essential – if you know pumps and have the right personality, training and support will be provided. What’s in it for you? You’ll work closely with customers to understand their requirements and provide practical pumping and water solutions. Your Role Will Include Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing customersDeveloping new business opportunities across the regionVisiting customers and sites to understand their requirementsProviding technical advice around pumps and associated equipmentHelping customers identify the right solution for their applicationPreparing and following up quotationsWorking with suppliers and manufacturers on products and technical informationIdentifying replacement, upgrade and additional equipment opportunitiesManaging opportunities from initial enquiry through to orderWorking closely with internal sales, workshop, service and operational teams As you develop in the role, you’ll also have the opportunity to build your knowledge across more detailed pump selection, system assessment, estimating and project coordination. What will you need? The biggest requirement is pump and water industry experience. We’re genuinely open-minded about where that experience has come from. You could currently be working in: Pump fitting or mechanical tradesPump service / field serviceWorkshopInternal salesTechnical supportEstimatingExternal sales or business development You’ll need: A good practical understanding of pumps and water applicationsCurrent driver's licenceFull Australian working rights without requiring sponsorship. Experience across mining, industrial, irrigation, commercial or municipal water applications would be advantageous, but you don't need to tick every box. The position itself works across those markets. Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who understands the industry, communicates well and has the right personality to build strong customer relationships.
