Technical Revenue Accounting Manager- Enterprise Sales EMEA

Responsibilities

• Manage the review and approval of data center and cloud revenue agreements, ensuring appropriate recognition in accordance with ASC 606, Atlassian Revenue Policy, and other applicable standards.
• Provide support and guidance to Sales, Legal, and Order Management teams on deal structure and contractual terms for revenue compliance and optimization.
• Review non-standard terms, ensuring accurate technical accounting assessment and computation of accounting adjustments needed.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors regarding revenue accounting matters, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Continuously identify and implement improvements to revenue accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of revenue experience with 3 years minimally in a technical accounting role, ideally with experience with Public Companies.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and primarily revenue recognition standards (ASC 606).
• Proficient in using large scale ERP systems (Oracle Fusion a plus), and Revpro.
• Demonstrated experience thinking strategically about issues, leading to recommendations and action plans.
• Excellent interpersonal skills (oral and written) and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels at the company.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. CPA or equivalent is preferred, but not required.
• Experience with a Big-4 accounting firm is strongly preferred.
