Technical Recruiter

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Technical Recruiter to help hire for our Engineering team in New York City. You will report directly to the Head of Talent and be the primary driver of technical hiring at one of New York’s hottest AI startups.

Responsibilities

• Implement, source, and help build playbooks/strategies for technical hiring
• Operate in a high-velocity, early-stage environment where briefs are sometimes ambiguous and the brand is still being built
• Work closely with the CTO and engineering hiring managers to ensure seamless scheduling and a great candidate experience
• Close 3-4 engineering hires per month

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in technical recruiting and at least 2 years of experience operating in a startup or growth stage company
• A self-starter who is result-oriented, resourceful, innovative, intellectually curious, and who takes initiative and risks
• Ability to conduct structured interviews and coordinate hiring processes from first contact through offer
• No ego and highly committed to delivering results
• An open learning mindset and fast learner, demonstrating capacity to quickly grasp new complex topics
• Comfortable working within the ambiguity of a small, growing startup with a strong desire to turn that ambiguity into a well-defined machine
• Target-driven, detail-oriented, and approachable with the ability to prioritize and work well in an environment with competing demands

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Ashby and LinkedIn Recruiter

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
• Experience with ATS systems (Ashby and LinkedIn Recruiter preferred)
