Technical Recruiter

About the role

Compass is seeking a Technical Recruiter to drive the talent acquisition strategy for its growing Engineering, Data, and Product teams. The recruiter will partner with hiring managers and the Talent Acquisition team to develop, drive, and manage sourcing and recruiting strategies for technical positions, and will help promote Compass’s culture both internally and externally. This is an in‑office position.

Responsibilities

• Manage and drive the full recruitment life cycle, including sourcing, reviewing resumes, coordinating screenings and interviews, and assessing applicant suitability across various departments.
• Collaborate with hiring managers to understand departmental needs and quickly screen incoming applicants.
• Proactively source active and passive candidates through employee referrals, networking, internal databases, and innovative research tactics.
• Communicate professionally with candidates and respond promptly.
• Promote the Compass brand and use creative approaches to attract and market the company to qualified candidates.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience recruiting and sourcing engineers.
• Experience managing technical candidate pipelines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
• B.A. or B.S. with a strong academic record.
• Ability to multi‑task and manage a robust pipeline efficiently.
• High level of interpersonal skills with the ability to engage both active and passive candidates.
• Considerable skill in interviewing techniques.
• Comfort leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to improve sourcing, research, outreach, and recruiting workflows, with curiosity to experiment with new tools.

Skills

• Experience with Greenhouse or other applicant tracking systems.
• Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter.
• Strong command of Google Suite and a variety of computer software applications.
