About the role

We're building the infrastructure that will power every AI application you'll use in the future. Every AI app needs agentic "tools" — special functions that let AI models take real actions. Without tools, AI can only chat. With tools, AI can actually do things. We're building the definitive tools catalog and tool-calling platform that will unlock AI's true potential. Think Zapier for AI Actions. Think Auth0 for AI. Think really big.

We need a recruiter who is a true extension of our engineering team, one who treats every hire knowing it will define what we build next. You'll partner closely with our Head of Engineering to define and hire the most exceptional engineering talent on the market and deliver a recruiting process so good it leaves both hiring teams and candidates in awe, creating raving fans of how Arcade hires.

Why this opportunity

  • Founder-Market Fit: Our CEO previously founded Stormpath (acquired by Okta), where he created the first Authentication API for developers. Our CTO led the vector database team at Redis, shipped 100+ LLM applications, and is a contributor to LangChain and LlamaIndex.
  • Dream Team: We've assembled experts from Okta, Redis, Microsoft, Splunk, Ngrok, Google, Airbyte, Disney, and HPE who've built and founded multiple successful developer platforms.
  • Perfect Timing: We're at the inflection point of AI adoption. The biggest problem isn't better models — it's connecting AI to real-world actions. That's us.
  • Massive Market: We're building critical infrastructure for the biggest technological shift of our generation. Every AI app will need what we're building.
  • Backed By The Best: Our investors have backed Databricks, Clickhouse, MongoDB, Perplexity, Cohere, ScaleAI, Confluent, Elastic, and Firebase.

Responsibilities

  • Be Engineering’s trusted talent partner. Partner closely with our Head of Engineering and own full-cycle hiring as we scale, from role calibration to close. Learn the work deeply, earn the team's trust, and act as a thought partner to help them showcase Arcade as a top-notch engineering organization.
  • Bring our roles to life in a competitive market. Craft compelling stories that connect exceptional engineers to our vision and guide them through the entire hiring process.
  • Attract and close exceptional talent. Win senior engineers on story, craft, and experience, including confident, credible equity and comp conversations. Stand out in a crowded hiring market.
  • Turn Arcade into a networking machine. Proactively map and warm relationships with exceptional technical talent, stay active in the market, and activate the whole team's networks. Attend events, amplify technical blogs, and spread the word about Arcade.
  • Own pipeline health. Stay deeply tapped into every engineering search and build pipeline reporting to keep hiring managers and leadership informed.
  • Be our market-intelligence partner. Bring talent-landscape, comp-trend, and competitor insights back to the engineering team to sharpen hiring strategies.
  • Level up already-strong processes. Partner with the team to make our interview loops, scorecards, and candidate experience genuinely industry-leading.

Requirements

  • ~6+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting, focused on engineering, including time at an early-stage or high-growth startup, a genuinely high hiring bar, and a track record of attracting and closing exceptional senior engineering talent in competitive markets.
  • A phenomenal senior recruiting partner. You build relationships naturally, and the depth of your connections with candidates and hiring teams speaks for itself. You’ve raised the level of teams you’ve worked with, sharpening their practices, programs, and processes.
  • Expert sourcing chops. You’ve gone beyond LinkedIn and traditional sourcing tools to activate entire talent pools, often by tapping the expertise and networks of the teams around you.
  • Technical fluency enough to be dangerous. You can hold a real conversation about infra, APIs, auth, and AI, read a resume for actual signal, and earn an engineer's respect quickly.
  • A trusted voice in hard conversations. You communicate with clarity and candor, navigate tough moments with directness and care, and have a keen eye for improving how messages or processes land.
  • A builder at heart. You automate workflows, leverage AI-assisted sourcing and screening, and find clever tooling hacks to improve your own job without waiting for permission.

Nice to have

  • Experience recruiting for dev tools, infrastructure, API, or AI/agent companies and can speak the language of the people you're hiring.
  • Scaled an engineering org through a high-growth phase and know what that pace demands.

Pay

Compensation is aligned with the range below and determined based on a candidate's background, experience, and performance.

Salary Range: $185,000 - $255,000

Schedule

This role sits out of our SF Headquarters. We have a strong in-office culture and look forward to collaborating with you 3 days a week in the office.
