Technical Project Manager

OverviewPoint Predictive is redefining fraud detection and risk decisioning for lenders through large-scale consortium data, machine learning, and real-time systems. We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to help design, build, and maintain the data platforms behind our core products, including high-volume data ingestion, batch and streaming pipelines, real-time decisioning systems, and the data infrastructure that supports models and customer-facing applications across financial institutions.In this role, you will own Agile delivery practices, sprint planning, backlog organization, project tracking, and cross-functional coordination. You will work closely with technical and business leaders to translate priorities into clear plans, establish realistic timelines, remove blockers, and maintain accountability through production delivery. The ideal candidate combines strong technical understanding with disciplined execution—a proactive operator who brings structure to complex work while protecting engineering focus and avoiding unnecessary process. ResponsibilitiesServe as Scrum Master for engineering teams, leading sprint planning, standups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectivesOwn Jira organization and delivery tracking, ensuring priorities, requirements, owners, estimates, dependencies, and acceptance criteria are clearly definedPartner with Engineering and Product leaders to improve project scoping, capacity planning, prioritization, and delivery predictabilityLead technical projects from initial planning through development, testing, deployment, and post-production follow-upCoordinate product releases, customer integrations, model deployments, data initiatives, and infrastructure improvements across teamsIdentify blockers, dependencies, risks, and scope changes early, driving resolution and escalating when necessaryProvide clear project updates covering progress, timelines, risks, decisions, and required actionsImprove and automate project-management, reporting, and development workflows while protecting focused engineering timeUse AI-assisted tools to improve planning, documentation, meeting follow-up, and execution efficiency Qualifications5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Technical Project Manager, or similar role within a software, data, or technology organizationStrong experience leading Agile ceremonies, managing technical backlogs, and improving sprint executionAdvanced experience with Jira and working knowledge of the software development lifecycleDemonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional technical projects involving multiple teams and stakeholdersAbility to understand technical systems, ask informed questions, and communicate effectively with engineers and business leadersExcellent organization, problem-solving, risk-management, and written and verbal communication skillsHigh level of ownership, accountability, urgency, and attention to detailExperience in financial services, lending, fraud detection, data platforms, or machine-learning products is a plus What Success Looks LikeEngineering teams operate with organized backlogs, effective Agile ceremonies, and realistic sprint commitmentsJira provides an accurate view of priorities, ownership, project status, dependencies, and remaining workBlockers and delivery risks are identified early and resolved proactivelyTechnical projects and releases are delivered with clear scope, strong coordination, and predictable executionLeadership receives concise, reliable visibility into project health and decisions requiring attentionProcesses improve delivery without adding unnecessary meetings or administrative burdenWhy This RoleHelp drive the execution behind the data and technology that powers real-time fraud and risk decisions for lenders.This is a high-impact role with visibility across Point Predictive’s most important technical and product initiatives.
