About the role
We are seeking a Technical Project Manager, Manufacturing Operations to support complex custom manufacturing projects from customer requirements through engineering, production, quality review, and final delivery.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project plans from kickoff through final delivery.
- Break complex projects into actionable tasks, milestones, owners, and deadlines.
- Maintain accurate project status updates within Jira.
- Identify and escalate risks related to scope, timelines, resources, or project requirements.
- Provide information needed to support prioritization and decision-making.
- Partner with Product Engineering teams to understand project requirements, technical dependencies, and readiness milestones.
- Coordinate project handoffs between Engineering, Production, QA, Operations, Sales, and Shipping.
- Ensure all teams have the information and resources needed to complete their work.
- Track progress across design, CAD development, slicing, material selection, testing, production readiness, printing, milling, finishing, quality review, and delivery.
- Identify missing inputs, ownership gaps, and project blockers early.
- Support seamless transitions from engineering development into production execution.
- Coordinate project flow across manufacturing, finishing, quality assurance, and shipping operations.
- Ensure operational teams receive all necessary documentation and project requirements prior to production.
- Track quality checkpoints, approvals, documentation, and outstanding action items.
- Facilitate communication and alignment when priorities shift or parallel workstreams are required.
- Drive project follow-through from initiation to completion.
- Prepare clear internal and customer-facing project updates.
- Support project meetings, status reviews, and coordination sessions.
- Document project decisions, risks, changes, action items, and open questions.
- Maintain alignment between Sales, Engineering, Operations, Production, QA, and leadership teams.
- Organize and maintain project documentation within shared systems.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in project management, technical project coordination, manufacturing operations, engineering coordination, or a related field.
- Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, hardware, fabrication, production, or other technical environments.
- Ability to translate complex technical information into clear project plans, tasks, ownership, and timelines.
- Experience utilizing Jira and project documentation tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational and follow-up abilities.
- Skilled at identifying risks, resolving issues, and escalating concerns proactively.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and evolving requirements.
