Technical Program Manager II, Demand Response, Technical Infrastructure

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
Responsibilities
- Identify gaps and opportunities for scaling and operationalizing energy software solutions.
- Manage programs including scoping, resourcing, stakeholder communication, and execution with various Google groups in collaboration with external vendors.
- Support the development of data center load flexibility and demand response capabilities.
- Provide expertise and support on specific projects and commercial negotiations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in program management.
- Experience in demand response, energy markets, power system operations, API integrations, or communication protocols (e.g., IEEE 2030.5, OpenADR).
- Experience managing software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent (preferred).
- 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- Experience working in data center power management, controls, or compute infrastructure.
- Experience managing technical data science and software engineering-based cross-functional projects.
- Experience developing, managing, and communicating project roadmaps.
Skills
- Technical expertise in software programs or product management in the energy industry.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Pay
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $138,000-$198,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
