Position Overview

The Technical Product Business Analyst at Paperless Environments plays a pivotal role in the product team, bridging the gap between business needs and technical implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • User Story Definition: Translate business and user needs into detailed backlog items with clear acceptance criteria and use cases. Ensure requirements are documented clearly and understood by the development team.

  • Backlog Grooming & Agile Planning: Proactively manage and groom the product backlog, preparing user stories for sprint planning and ensuring alignment with the product roadmap and customer value.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Development, QA, Product Design, and User Assistance teams to ensure proposed solutions are technically feasible and aligned with business goals. Clarify requirements and answer questions during sprints to prevent misunderstandings or delays.

  • Agile Ceremony Participation: Take an active role in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, backlog refinement sessions, sprint planning, and sprint reviews and retrospectives. Provide insights and feedback to drive smooth Agile execution.

  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Define and write acceptance criteria for user stories to guide the testing process. Work with QA to develop test plans and ensure thorough coverage of requirements. Assist in UAT and validate that delivered features meet specified requirements and acceptance criteria.

  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of product requirements, process workflows, and release notes for new features. Utilize Atlassian Confluence (and similar tools) for knowledge transfer and training purposes.

  • Product Expertise & Support: Serve as a subject-matter expert on products. Communicate feature progress clearly and provide training to internal teams on new product features and workflows.

  • Integration & Deployment Support: Coordinate with Development and external partners for third-party integrations. Assist in deployment activities by working with Development to ensure acceptance criteria and infrastructure needs are met before release.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance business analysis processes and Agile workflows.
