Technical Operative

Job Purpose

The Technical Operative is responsible for the installation, maintenance, restocking and repair of vending machines and smart cabinets to ensure they operate efficiently and reliably. The role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering excellent service to support uninterrupted operations.

Responsibilities

• Electrical & mechanical troubleshooting and fix where appropriate.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly, including hardware malfunctions and software errors.
• Replace or repair faulty components to restore full functionality.
• Carry out regular servicing and inspections to prevent breakdowns and ensure machines are operating efficiently.
• Maintain a detailed maintenance schedule and service logs for each machine.
• Install and move equipment as required.
• Maintain an inventory of spare parts and tools required for repairs and maintenance.
• Goods receiving to include checking, counting and organizing of stock.
• Pick and pack customer orders to agreed timeframes and order turnaround times.
• Deliver items to points of use when required.
• Stock checks and cycle counting of products with a proactive approach to maintaining stock accuracy.
• Work with a series of computerised systems.
• Manage project deliverables and tasks to completion within specified timeframes.

• Clear and concise in explaining technical concepts to non-technical personnel.
• Tech savvy individual with previous experience using software systems e.g. SAP, Microsoft Projects, Teamwork, etc.
• Good interpersonal skills with ability to deliver a high level of customer service.
• Flexible to take on additional duties as required.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently within deadlines.
