Key Responsibilities
- Champion a strong food safety and quality culture throughout the organization.
- Ensure robust quality systems are in place and consistently applied across all sites.
- Lead site audits and drive continuous improvement based on findings.
- Maintain accreditation to BRCGS (Brand Reputation through Compliance Global Standard for Food Safety) and customer-specific standards such as SQMS (Supplier Quality Management System).
- Act as the technical lead for all external audits, including customer, third-party, and regulatory inspections.
- Ensure sites are always audit-ready and uphold high levels of compliance, supplier assurance and specifications.
- Ensure that customer technical requirements are clearly understood, communicated, and met across all sites.
- Manage technical documentation, specifications, and product information in line with legal and customer expectations.
- Monitor and stay current on regulatory and industry development affecting Solina products and raw materials.
- Monitor internal and external customer enquiries through service desk to ensure KPIs are achieved.
- Proactively identify and manage technical risks to product safety, legality, or quality.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for deviations and incidents.
- Work collaboratively with operations, quality, and supply chain teams to drive sustainable improvement.
Candidate Profile
- Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years line management experience with demonstrable experience in coaching, mentoring and developing the competency of individual team members.
- Proven experience in a senior technical or quality assurance role within a food manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of BRCGS Food Safety, SQMS, HACCP, and food legislation.
- Demonstrable success in leading third-party and customer audits.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with a collaborative, hands-on approach.
- Strong understanding of food safety risk management and quality management systems.
