Technical Lead Platform Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Define and implement the overall architecture of our AI SaaS platform
• Lead the development of core platform services and ensure their seamless integration
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices
• Collaborate with the team to create comprehensive technical documentation
• Manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
• Actively contribute to infrastructure automation, monitoring, and alerting strategies

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering
• Required: Proven experience as a Technical Lead responsible for directing the work of others
• Required: Production experience at scale of a generative AI application or platform
• Required: Expert proficiency in Python or Java
• Required: Deep understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs
• Required: Expert experience in one of the cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and solid understanding of infrastructure as code (Terraform)
• Required: Expert in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools
• Required: Strong familiarity with scaling tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Required: Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
• Preferred: 8+ years of relevant industry experience
• Preferred: Some experience with all three major cloud providers (GCP, Azure, AWS)
• Preferred: Significant experience with GCP in particular
• Preferred: Familiarity with front-end technologies (React, Angular, Vue.js)
• Preferred: Proven expertise in applied AI, large language models (LLMs), and machine learning engineering
• Preferred: Experience at a growth stage start-up
