Technical Lead, Fleetnet, Vehicle Software

About the role

We are a small team of experts building next-generation server-side infrastructure to support Tesla's growing fleet of products. We are currently pushing the boundaries of innovation and developing new business lines. We are looking for a hands-on leader to join us as a Technical Lead and help build the technology stack that will power Tesla's future.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, high-availability mission-critical systems and APIs
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, in Product, SRE, and Infrastructure to drive roadmaps to completion
• Influence architectural decisions with focus on security, scalability, and high-performance
• Solve complex problems using distributed, asynchronous messaging

Requirements

• 7+ years of building SaaS applications, preferably in a service-oriented architecture
• Exceptional leadership ability and ability to collaborate and communicate complex technical concepts to a wide audience
• Direct technical contributions in your current role, both in code and design
• Extensive background in web services and distributed systems development
• Experience leading engineering teams, with a history of outstanding accomplishments from architecture definition to product delivery
• Expertise in modern web development frameworks, preferably Golang
• Demonstrated success with scalable web applications or messaging systems
• Experience with web security
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or proof of exceptional skills in related fields with practical software engineering experience
• Prior experience with Navigation and Mapping system is a plus

Pay

Expected Compensation $208,000 - $360,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

The schedule is flexible and can vary based on the needs of the team and the project.
