Technical Laboratory Assistant (TLA)
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Current BLS certification.
- At least two (2) years of full time experience in a hospital laboratory setting with phlebotomy experience.
- Adheres to regulatory requirements including all State, Federal and the accrediting body regulations.
Preferred
- Previous experience working as a Phlebotomist.
- Graduate of a Certified Phlebotomy program.
- Phlebotomy certification.

About the Role
The Technical Lab Assistant (TLA) will assist in clerical duties of the department, maintain laboratory equipment as necessary, assist technicians and technologists as needed, and be responsible for phlebotomy procedures and processing of other specimens. Additionally, laboratory assistants will perform CLIA-waived testing while producing quality results.
