Technical Editor
About the role
We're seeking a highly skilled Mid-Level Technical Editor to join our dynamic team and help refine written products, including Open Source Intelligence Reports, IT technical artifacts, policy documents, and other media. You will ensure our written products meet Intelligence Community (IC) publication standards, are clear, logical, and consistent, and adhere to style guides and classification protocols.
Responsibilities
- Review written products—such as Open Source Intelligence Reports drafts, IT technical artifacts, policy documents, strategic communications, training materials, tradecraft notes, slides, website content, and other media—for proper grammar, punctuation, clarity, logic, and consistent language presentation.
- Collaborate with authors to revise content and ensure adherence to style guides and classification protocols.
- Support leading the editorial process to ensure OSIC written products meet IC publication standards.
- Support ensuring translation accuracy and collaborate with authors on narrative improvements and FDO compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 8+ years of related experience (including executive staff support experience within the last 2 years), or 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Prior military or government analytical experience.
- Prior experience in Information Security.
Preferred Qualifications
- Intelligence Community experience.
- Master’s degree.
Pay
Full-Time Salary Range: $67,406 – $114,590. Individual salaries are determined by factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
