Responsibilities
- Act as resource for all ultrasound activities for physician leadership and management
- Standardize and maintain best practices for the work performed by ultrasound staff across the practice including documented standards to maximize workflow efficiency and ensure staff safety
- Collaborate with physicians and technologists to ensure delivery of quality care, including performing systematic review of study quality and adherence to standards, reporting issues and resolution to physician leadership
- Hold quarterly (at minimum) departmental meetings to address challenges, share ideas, discuss areas of standardization, and provide mentorship
- Lead education efforts to ensure staff are well educated with respect to the latest care pathways, technologies, and advanced vascular care knowledge
- Develop and maintain written training procedures and oversee training of new RVTs as needed
- Optimize the effectiveness of the ultrasound equipment and associated software
- Optimize the efficiency of the documentation process into the practices EMR and PACS systems
- Manage and oversee platform-wide IAC accreditation efforts and enforce these standards across all sites
- Assist in the opening of new labs including leading credentialing efforts
- Work with leadership to identify and vet strategic expansion and development of vascular lab services and locations
- Provide coverage on an as-needed basis for sites with unexpected staff shortages
- Coordinate with ultrasound leads to train new hires in accordance with platform standards
- Perform site visits to all locations to maintain cohesiveness, build relationships, and address challenges and opportunities
Requirements
- Graduate of an ultrasound program or formal training program
- RVT or RVS preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years ultrasound technologist experience preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years experience as a lead ultrasound technologist in an outpatient environment preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work and prosper in a team environment
- Willing to be available for local and/or regional assignments as needed
- Willing to learn and deliver new modalities, products and services as introduced
Pay
Base salary: $115,000 per year. Additional milestone bonus compensation based on the practice/individual performance. Negotiable based on skills and experience.
