Job Description

The Manager, Product Development & Delivery is a player-coach leadership role that combines hands-on execution with strategic product and technology leadership. Must have 9+ years' experience working Python, .NET, ASP.NET, React, MVC, and microfrontends.

Essential Job Functions

  • Define and execute an enterprise-wide strategy that aligns QSight’s Vision, Resilience, and Community platforms to measurable business outcomes.
  • Own the architecture, design, and quality of the OM Innovations platform (Vision, Community, and Resilience), ensuring scalable, reliable, and high-performing software solutions.
  • Lead end-to-end execution of product roadmaps and releases, driving cross-functional delivery and ensuring timely delivery of features and enhancements across multiple agile teams.
  • Serve as a technical player-coach, leading by example through hands-on involvement in architecture, design, and code reviews while setting high engineering standards.
  • Directly manage and coach engineering and product teams, fostering a high-performance culture through mentorship, career development, and strong accountability.
  • Oversee teams operating across a diverse technology stack (Python, .NET, ASP.NET, React, MVC, and microfrontends) to deliver integrated, cohesive platform capabilities.
  • Partner with Product Management and business stakeholders to translate strategic priorities into execution-ready plans, ensuring alignment between product vision, engineering delivery, and customer value.
  • Maintain accountability for platform stability and operational excellence, including production support, site reliability, and incident response.
  • Champion best practices in DevOps, CI/CD, and quality engineering to continuously improve system availability, security, and performance.
  • Manage technical debt and optimize cloud architecture (e.g., GCP) to balance cost efficiency with long-term scalability and quality.
  • Create and maintain architecture documentation, decision records, and implementation of playbooks that drive consistency and accelerate delivery across teams.
  • Be hands-on when necessary to prove patterns, unblock delivery, and harden implementations—building targeted reference solutions, prototypes, and production improvements in partnership with engineering teams.
  • Provide expert consultation during incidents or performance events, working with the appropriate teams to accelerate diagnosis and resolution.

Qualifications

  • 9+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years in technical leadership roles (e.g., managing development teams or leading complex software projects).
  • Track record of delivering enterprise-grade software products or platforms to market is essential.
  • Domain experience in supply chain, healthcare, or SaaS platforms is highly desirable.
  • Proven team management experience, including performance coaching and talent development.
  • Strong engineering background – adept in modern cloud architectures (microservices, GCP/AWS, CI/CD, DevOps) and software development best practices.
  • Product mindset with ability to weigh customer needs and business goals in technical decisions.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience aligning technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Adeptness at managing execution in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Knowledge of cloud-native platforms and infrastructure (e.g., GCP), including scalability, cost optimization, and distributed systems.
  • Understanding of Agile delivery models, product lifecycle management, and DevOps practices (CI/CD, release management).
  • Familiarity with enterprise data ecosystems, system integrations (ERP, supply chain systems), and SaaS delivery models.
  • Knowledge of healthcare or supply chain domain concepts (e.g., inventory management, contracting workflows, or operational analytics) (valuable but can be framed as preferred if needed).
  • Translate business strategy into actionable product and engineering plans.
  • Drive cross-functional execution, aligning engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
  • Manage and prioritize competing demands, balancing speed, quality, and cost.
  • Build and lead high-performing teams through coaching, mentoring, and accountability.
  • Identify and resolve delivery risks, technical blockers, and operational issues quickly.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executives.
  • A high ownership mindset with strong prioritization and decision-making in ambiguous environments.
