Technical Consultant
We are looking for technically skilled gig workers to provide remote troubleshooting and technical assistance to customers using popular gaming platforms, consoles, handheld devices, PC gaming services, and cloud gaming platforms. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of gaming technology, operating systems, connectivity, account-related issues, game installation and launch problems, device configuration, and basic troubleshooting.
Gaming Platforms & Ecosystems
Candidates should have familiarity with one or more of the following:
- PlayStation – Gaming consoles and online gaming services
- Nintendo Switch – Gaming console and ecosystem
- Steam – PC gaming platform and digital game store
- Steam Deck – Handheld PC gaming device
- GeForce NOW – Cloud gaming service
- Amazon Luna – Cloud gaming platform
- Google Play Games – Gaming ecosystem across PC and mobile
- Apple Arcade – Gaming subscription ecosystem
- PlayStation Plus – Gaming subscription and online services
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for gaming platforms, devices, applications, and services.
- Diagnose and resolve common gaming-related technical issues.
- Assist customers with account access, login, password, and authentication-related issues.
- Troubleshoot game installation, download, update, launch, and performance issues.
- Assist with device setup, configuration, connectivity, and compatibility issues.
- Troubleshoot internet connectivity, Wi-Fi, latency, and basic network-related gaming issues.
- Support customers with gaming subscriptions and digital gaming services.
- Provide guidance on platform settings, system updates, application settings, and device configurations.
- Troubleshoot issues related to cloud gaming and game streaming.
- Identify the root cause of technical problems and provide appropriate resolutions or workarounds.
- Follow troubleshooting procedures and knowledge-base documentation.
- Accurately document customer issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
- Escalate complex or unresolved technical issues according to defined processes.
- Maintain a high level of customer service while resolving technical concerns.
Required Technical Skills
- Good understanding of gaming consoles, PCs, handheld gaming devices, and gaming applications.
- Knowledge of at least one major gaming ecosystem such as PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Steam, Xbox, or cloud gaming platforms.
- Basic understanding of:
- Windows and PC troubleshooting
- Mobile device troubleshooting
- Wi-Fi and internet connectivity
- Network configuration and latency

- Previous experience in technical support, helpdesk, customer support, or gaming support.
- Experience troubleshooting PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Steam, Steam Deck, or other gaming devices.
- Experience with cloud gaming platforms such as GeForce NOW or Amazon Luna.
- Familiarity with gaming subscriptions and digital game stores.
- Experience supporting customers remotely.
- Strong understanding of PC hardware/software troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts such as DNS, IP addresses, Wi-Fi, bandwidth, and latency.

Candidate Eligibility
Candidates with experience in technical support, gaming support, IT helpdesk, or relevant technical fields are preferred. Gaming enthusiasts with strong technical troubleshooting knowledge may also be considered. Candidates should be comfortable providing remote technical support and must have access to a reliable computer and stable internet connection.
