Technical Consultant
About the Role

We are searching for a Technical Consultant to join our customer Dedicated Team, consulting to one of the largest transportation and logistics companies in the world. In this role, you will work closely with the customer’s health & safety and operations management teams to identify, quantify, and reduce or eliminate risk. Nearly 100% of the work is performed at customer operations in the metro Chicago area. This position is eligible to be hired at different levels depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Account Service: Provide comprehensive, highly sophisticated consulting services to assist in meeting customer key performance indicators. Develop a deep understanding of customer operations and industry exposures to create strategies that mitigate risk.
- Leadership: Collaborate, innovate, influence, and inspire teams to meet common goals. Includes mentoring, coaching, and owning personal and career growth aspirations.
- Continuous Improvement: Foster a growth mindset to continuously improve work product and service delivery through collaboration and innovation.
- Relationship Building: Form and sustain relationships at all levels of the customer organization to become a trusted influencer and impact business objectives.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with coursework in math, engineering, or related areas (or equivalent) and at least 5 years of directly related consulting experience in loss prevention or progressive safety/health field.
- Candidates are typically working toward (or have obtained) an advanced degree and/or professional certification in one or more of the following: CSP, ARM, CRM, CPCU, CIH, or CPE.
- Advanced knowledge, skills, and experience in a specialized field, service planning and delivery, risk assessment, risk analysis, solutions management, and progress measurement.
- Fully effective interpersonal, writing, and communication skills to develop and maintain relationships with customers, peers, and industry contacts.
- Demonstrated ability to retrieve and enter information using proprietary software applications and create/modify documents and complex spreadsheets using Microsoft Office suite.
- Position requires regular travel.

Pay
The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. The full salary range reflects the competitive labor market value for similar positions across the national market and provides opportunities for progression as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles may include commission and/or bonus earnings based on factors outlined in the compensation plan.
