Technical Business Systems Analyst (Business Analyst III)

About the role

The Fairfax County Park Authority (FCPA) is seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to oversee and support the Park Authority’s revenue collecting systems. This role involves managing system functionality, integrations, configuration, and data integrity, leading system enhancements and software modifications, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manages and maintains revenue collecting systems
• Serves as primary technical liaison with software vendors
• Conducts system testing, quality assurance, and configuration management
• Develops system documentation, provides training and support
• Maintains system documentation, business rules, and technical processes
• Facilitates end user support and training
• Enhances system data capture and reporting capability
• Ensures all agency revenue collecting systems meet regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field
• Four years of experience analyzing business processes and/or developing/maintaining main business systems, technical platforms, or related systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with SQL or data querying tools
• Understanding of APIs, integrations, and system interoperability
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
