Technical Account Manager (TAM) – Hybrid Cloud
About the role
The Technical Account Manager (TAM) – Hybrid Cloud is a strategic and technical advisor responsible for driving customer success across complex hybrid IT environments that span on-premises infrastructure, private clouds, and public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Responsibilities
- Hybrid Cloud Technical Account Management
Act as a trusted technical advisor on hybrid cloud solutions, integrating public cloud services with on-premise infrastructure.
Guide clients in cloud adoption, migration, and modernization strategies tailored to hybrid environments.
Support workload placement, performance tuning, scalability, and system interoperability. - Client Relationship & Success Management
Develop and manage strategic relationships with key technical and business stakeholders.
Conduct regular health checks, business reviews, and performance optimization sessions.
Serve as the voice of the customer internally, ensuring alignment of services to evolving business needs. - Consultative Engagement & Business Development
Identify opportunities for service and solution expansion based on evolving client needs.
Provide consultative input to shape cloud transformation roadmaps and long-term IT strategies.
Influence client decision-making by showcasing solution value, ROI, and technical differentiation. - Pre-Sales Support & Solution Engineering
Partner with sales and solution engineering teams to support the sales cycle.
Lead technical discovery sessions and contribute to RFPs, proposals, and demos.
Design and validate proposed architectures and present solution recommendations to clients.
Participate in client workshops, PoCs (Proof of Concept), and PoVs (Proof of Value). - Service Delivery Oversight
Ensure successful implementation and ongoing support of hybrid solutions.
Lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outcomes and continuous improvement.
Proactively identify service issues or risks and coordinate mitigation plans. - Issue Resolution & Technical Escalations
Own and manage critical incidents, outages, and problem resolution efforts across cloud and on-prem environments.
Act as an escalation point for technical issues impacting account health.
Requirements
- Technical Expertise
Proficient in hybrid cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, VMware, and on-premise infrastructure.
Experience with cloud migration, infrastructure modernization, and hybrid networking and security.
Familiar with tools such as Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, and monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Datadog, Prometheus).
Understanding of DevOps pipelines, Kubernetes, virtualization, and identity/access management. - Consultative & Business Acumen
Ability to translate technical capabilities into business value.
Experience with solution selling and creating hybrid cloud value propositions.
Skilled in identifying upsell, cross-sell, and optimization opportunities. - Communication & Collaboration
Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to influence technical and executive audiences.
Comfortable working with cross-functional teams including Sales, Engineering, and Support.
Qualifications

Pay & Benefits
The compensation range for the position in the U.S. is $124,920 to $237,480 based on a full-time schedule. Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience.
