Technical Account Manager, Azure

Accountabilities

  • Own the post-sales technical relationship as the primary advisor for customers, with a focus on Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Build strong relationships with technical and business stakeholders by understanding cloud architectures, financial goals, and operational priorities.
  • Monitor cloud commitment coverage and utilization, providing proactive recommendations to maximize savings and reduce risk.
  • Advise customers on cloud commitment strategies, sizing decisions, FinOps maturity, and governance best practices.
  • Transform cloud consumption data into clear business insights and executive-level recommendations.
  • Lead quarterly business reviews by presenting usage trends, savings achieved, and optimization opportunities.
  • Partner with commercial teams to identify expansion opportunities and support customer growth strategies.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Support teams to resolve customer challenges and provide feedback for product improvements.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in Technical Account Management, Customer Success, Solutions Architecture, Cloud Consulting, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
  • Hands-on experience working with Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Azure certifications are preferred.
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, cloud economics, and cost optimization strategies.
  • Familiarity with FinOps principles and cloud financial management practices.
  • Experience with cloud commitment programs such as Azure Reservations, Savings Plans, or enterprise commitment agreements is an asset.
  • Experience presenting recommendations and insights to executive-level stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into measurable business outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and customer-oriented mindset.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
