About the role

AWS Global Services includes experts from across AWS who help customers design, build, operate, and secure their cloud environments. As a Technical Account Manager (TAM) in AWS Enterprise Support, you will serve as the principal technical advisor and 'voice of the customer' to organizations ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 enterprises. This role is not a sales position but focuses on being a trusted technical partner.

The TAM works proactively to craft and execute strategies that drive customer adoption and use of AWS services, including EC2, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront CDN, IoT, and more. You will collaborate with engineers and service teams to resolve issues while providing advocacy and strategic technical guidance to help customers plan and build solutions using best practices. The role requires travel of 10% or more as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the principal technical advisor and 'voice of the customer' for AWS Enterprise Support customers.
  • Work proactively to help customers adopt and optimize AWS services, including compute, storage, databases, serverless, networking, and more.
  • Drive discussions with senior leadership regarding incidents, trade-offs, support, and risk management.
  • Provide strategic technical guidance to help plan and build solutions using AWS best practices.
  • Ensure customers' AWS environments remain operationally healthy and resilient.
  • Collaborate with AWS engineers and service teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Understand customer business and operational needs to help them achieve maximum value from AWS.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of technical engineering experience.
  • Experience with operational parameters and troubleshooting for three (3) or more of the following: compute, storage, networking, CDN, databases, DevOps, big data and analytics, security, or application development in a distributed systems environment.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings.
  • Experience in an internal enterprise or external customer-facing environment as a technical lead.

Pay

The base salary range for this position varies by location:

  • USA, CA, San Francisco: $151,000.00 - $204,300.00 USD annually.
  • USA, CA, Sunnyvale: $151,000.00 - $204,300.00 USD annually.
  • USA, GA, Atlanta: $131,300.00 - $177,600.00 USD annually.
  • USA, TX, Dallas: $131,300.00 - $177,600.00 USD annually.
  • USA, VA, Arlington: $131,300.00 - $177,600.00 USD annually.
  • USA, VA, Herndon: $131,300.00 - $177,600.00 USD annually.
  • USA, WA, Seattle: $131,300.00 - $177,600.00 USD annually.

Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
