About the role

Performs general diagnostic ultrasound examinations. Prepares neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients for the technical component of scans and treatments of particular organs to furnish diagnostic information. Operates ultrasound equipment to produce scans. Provides support and training assistance, and functions in all aspects of the position. Assists the Lead and Department in maintenance of equipment and QA/QC programs to meet regulatory, accreditation, and re-accreditation requirements. Serves as department liaison.

Responsibilities

• Perform general diagnostic ultrasound examinations
• Prepare patients (neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric) for scans and treatments
• Operate ultrasound equipment to produce diagnostic scans
• Provide support and training assistance
• Assist in maintenance of equipment and QA/QC programs for regulatory and accreditation compliance
• Serve as department liaison

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or AMA-approved program in Ultrasonography
• Associate’s degree or higher (equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree)
• ARDMS (American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) certification
• RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider certification
• 3–5 years of experience, including 12 months in a hospital setting

Pay

Pay range is $72.59 to $90.65 per hour. The compensation range may vary based on geographic location, candidate experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs.

Schedule

• Full-time (40 hours per week)
• Shift: Evenings (8-hour shifts)
• Days: Monday – Friday
• Weekend requirements: As needed
