About the role

This job exists to ensure the sanitation, maintenance, and repair of processing and filling equipment in a manufacturing environment, following Good Manufacturing Practices and safety precautions to prevent product contamination and injury. The role contributes to a safe working environment and simplification of the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Disassembles and reassembles processing and packaging machinery for sanitation
• Utilizes basic hand tools to inspect and reassemble equipment
• Sanitizes equipment parts and surfaces following Standard Operating Procedures
• Performs repairs, replacements, and adjustments to equipment
• Conducts preventive maintenance and identifies problems
• Assists Production and processing Technicians with equipment maintenance
• Reviews and signs logbooks for proper documentation

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of manufacturing experience
• Ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations
• Ability to interpret and apply Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions
• Basic mechanical skills and ability to use hand tools
• Ability to follow safety procedures and lift 50 pounds independently
• Manual dexterity to manipulate small objects and machinery
• Scissor lifts and electric pallet truck certification required
