As a Precision Inspector, you'll be the final line of defense, ensuring that raw materials, components, and fully assembled units meet exact specifications before they move forward. If you have a sharp eye for detail, steady hands, and take pride in catching what others might miss, this role puts you at the heart of our quality promise.
- Work across multiple critical areas, including: Heavy Machining, Fabrication, Pressure Vessel Welding, Rotor and Motor Shop, EP AT Speed Balance, SVP Quick Action & SVP Kit Box, and other areas as needed.
- Use tools and equipment such as: visual, functional, mechanical, and electrical inspection equipment, Coordinate Measuring Equipment (CME), simple ultrasonic inspection equipment, material handling equipment, cameras, and computers.
- Handle materials like: raw materials, fabrications, and purchased items, partially and fully finished machined parts, assemblies, sub-assemblies, and castings.
- Day-to-day tasks include: reading and interpreting work orders, assembly and detail drawings, quality plans, special instructions, inspection specs, process and material specifications, standard procedure instructions, bills of material, purchase orders, shipping papers, and other documents; performing inspections, testing, documentation, and quality control; collaborating with customers and teams; disassembling, assembling, stamping, grinding, and cleaning items; operating cranes, forklift trucks, and other material handling equipment; maintaining safety and housekeeping standards.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Able and willing to work 1st (7am–3pm), 2nd (3pm–11pm), and 3rd (11pm–7am) shifts, with the possibility of overtime, weekends, and holidays.
