Tech I - PM Field Service

About the role

Responsible for performing preventative maintenance at the customer's place of business on customer's power generation equipment, including diesel engine maintenance, oil changes, and voltage output measurements. This is a Union position; employees are required to join IUOE Local 15C after 90 days of employment. All benefits are provided by IUOE Local 15C.

Responsibilities

• Identify and order parts necessary to complete routine maintenance.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment according to established guidelines and schedules.
• Complete all work orders and time sheets in a legible, accurate, and timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform all work in accordance with established quality standards and safety procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED; technical degree a plus.
• One to two years of related experience with diesel engines, standby generators, and controls.
• Clean driving record and valid Driver’s License required.
• Experience with mtu or Volvo Penta highly desired, but not required.

Skills & Abilities

• Basic computer navigation and utilization skills.
• Ability to utilize laptop and portable diagnostic tools.
• Experience with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Able to work independently in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ability to utilize available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
• Motivated and reliable with a strong work ethic; cooperative team member.

Pay

Tech I: $39.71 per hour. Employees with a CDL earn an additional $0.50 per hour.
